In 2010 the American Council of Vedic Astrologers ( of which I was a Member of the Board of Directors
for 8 years) aligned with the Indian Council of Astrological Sciences. India offered to award honorary degrees to a handful of western astrologers who showed accumulated education, talent and integrity. I was in this group.
This was an unexpected life event for me. As a serious student of astrological science, it has always been important for me to pass rigorous exams to attain respectable diplomas. In 1987 I passed exams from the Astrological Faculty of England which qualified me as a western astrologer. In 2003, in Sedona Arizona, I passed my final exams to be qualified as a vedic astrologer. It had always been an intention to go on and write the exams from India to receive the highest educational standards possible. When I was awarded this next step, they also included two more awards, one for expertise in chart interpretation and one for being recognized as a leader in North America for expanding the knowledge of this ancient vedic lineage.
The latter was a great gift because it clarified my personal mission statement.
For the rest of my days, I commit to expanding the knowledge of vedic astrology as a spiritual science and mystical inheritance. My wish is that when my time on earth is complete there will be a massive movement towards western minds incorporating this wisdom as a lifelong practise for insight and wise navigation on a path towards God realization.
I serve the spirit in our earth,Gaia.
